Re: Westjet Hiring
Dave,
I see on the hiring website that the current pilot job posting closes on June 30, 2010. As you mentioned more pilot hiring in 2010 is it safe to assume the listing will be renewed/reposted?
Thanks for taking the time to post on these forums, btw!

Yes, it will reopen.
The system always has a drop dead date and it just has to be extended from our end.
Dave.

Re: Westjet Hiring
The WJ site says pilots should search Workopolis for positions. Is that the new thing or is it just because the hiring window is temporarily closed?

Re: Westjet Hiring
Pretty sure all hiring has been done thru Workopolis for the last 4-5 years (for Pilots anyway).
I want to die like my grandfather did, peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming in terror like his passengers...

Re: Westjet Hiring
Maintenance job postings are done on westnet, why they don't use the other resources (like this one) is beyond me...We're looking for a E guy right now that is licensed and I'm pretty sure all we got was two CVs granted we are competing against Viking in YYC, but only two?!? The AME CVs for experianced guys have dried up too. You guys are going to have to gentle on these new birds, we're running out of people to fix them...
Re: Westjet Hiring
Hi there, I have a question for DaveP regarding the application process. I went to reapply for the latest pilot job. The hiring website then said that I had already applied for this position, which I had in 2009. My question is how do you change your hours, experience and types, as we did in our original application (when we checked the boxes). Is the program not based on these points? I cannot update any of these on my profile, all I can do is update my resume and wait until Dec. 31, 2011. Help from anyone regarding this issue would be extremely appreciative.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Hi,
I was wondering if someone on here can PM me to chat about they YHZ port system (schedule), current pay, company future etc. Just would like some insight from someone on the inside before I put in a resume.
Thanks,
CJ6
