We apologize for your experience

Post by AutoPilot Off »

Got an email today from Westjet apolgizeing for my experience. I use Westjet very regularly with getting to work/ getting home. The email explains that if one of there flights in the triangle is late by 30 min or cancelled the next flight you book will be discounted at 50% (on the same flight leg I presume), the letter signed by Greg himself at the end. As I said I use WJ very often, Every time I am very impressed with the whole experience. This gratuity (even though I wasnt upset at all) is a smooth move on there part. Thank you very much Westjet!

Westjet is getting beat on the triangle by Porter.
They now have to bribe people.
How did Air Canada get dragged into this post.
Oh wait, the Q400s are coming . Base them on the Island.
Now there will be 3 Q400s leaving at same time 1/3 full each.
You should offer the new regional pilots 60 percent
of industry standard to compete . That will show the competition.

This thread was about someone thanking a company for a letter of apology. It degraded into a pissing match between two companies. I have removed those comments and ask that if you have nothing to add regarding the spirit of the thread than don't.

The service guarantee is similar, but improved, to WJ's original network-wide service guarantee that was instituted in March 1996.

WJ has about 100 jets today, is bringing in at least 25 Q400's, (and I'd place money on another 25 to 40 firm orders within 3 years), and consistently ranks as one of the most profitable airlines in the world.

I'd say the strategy is working.
