Carl: Hey, it's Duffman!
Lenny: Newsweek said you died of liver failure.
Duffman: Duffman can never die, only the actors who play him. Ooh yeah!

How much would you pay ?Beacon Final wrote:I would pay too see this skit done in Ethopia or another 3rd world country, where schools and books are rare. I am willing to bet that they would be a heck of alot smarter than the trash in that video.
Costa Rica is a third world country. In grade 6 kids learn about continents and countries. By grade 8 you should be able to tell most countries and capitals in the world, including pointing them in a map.
Most countries in South America do teach about other countries in the world, sometimes even history of those countries. I was surprised when I found out that the US doesn't teach a heck of a lot about other countries or continents.
I don't know where all the countries are... but at least, when I hear about one... the least I can do is look it up in the map.
Anyway, on the other side... I'm sure they removed from the video the guys/gals that gave intelligent answers...

Here’s the REAL measurement of shock:Nark wrote:If we Americans are so dumb, why are we the worlds only super power?
US GDP per capita: $37,800
Canada GDP per capita: $29,800
Yup, those dumbfeck Americans sure are …er…well dumbfeck successful.
Am I right? Or, am I just not wrong again.
Is that $29,800 CSD or USD because that would put us up to $34,000 USD.JakeYYZ wrote:Here’s the REAL measurement of shock:Nark wrote:If we Americans are so dumb, why are we the worlds only super power?

GDP is no indicator of success and only points in one direction. For example when calculating GDP losses like New Orleans is not calculated, yet the construction effort to rebuild is calculated as growth.JakeYYZ wrote:Here’s the REAL measurement of shock:Nark wrote:If we Americans are so dumb, why are we the worlds only super power?

Actually that is arguable. With a trade deficit well over half a trillion dollars a year, a debtload of 8 trillion dollars (almost 2 trillion since Bush elected), China being the second largest treasury security holder and the largest US foreign cash reserve, the looming social security and medicare *crisis* caused by retiring baby boomers, manufacturing corps shutting down shop and moving to China, negative indicators like the Federal Reserve hiding money by ceasing publishing of the M3, current and future costs of the Iraq war, among various other indicators, one could say things aren't so successful. An economy based on rising debt with a GDP growth indicator that does not recognize losses. I would argue that China is the most successful economy in the world.JakeYYZ wrote:As in; Hair splitting professional….
pick any year you like, the US IS, economically, the most successful economy
