I'm kinda wondering. Is the "smoking in bars ban" country wide yet?
Ontario is a no-go.
I know Vancouver has banned it.
Where can a drunk get some lung cancer in this country?

The no smoking on patios is apparently just part of the transition to to afull smoking ban. It doesn't really accomplish much as on many patios you can just hop over the railing and smoke on the other side. Just don't get caught jumping back in...
I wonder if you rented a motorhome and drove all over Canada if you could smoke and drink in it?

I don't think so, "renting," I'm sure the rental agency has a policy on smoking and maybe drinking.hazatude wrote:I wonder if you rented a motorhome and drove all over Canada if you could smoke and drink in it?
Secondly, a motor vehicle can't have open alcohol so no bottles of hard liquor don't know where the motor-home fits into the highway traffic act. And I'd be scared to be in the back seat while it's in motion, and taking a drink....
Smoking indoors will probably only get you a fine, if anyone bothers to call the cops, like sean penn...
The motor home, dui possibility, and other motor driving charges.
The driver would be sober but myself and all the drunk, smoking ladies would be in the back listening to Goddo.

Don't know about smoking in a bar in Canada, but if your dream has allways been to smoke in the air over Europe, and you missed out during the WWs, here's your chance! http://smintair.com/
Dawson City, YT. Was up there this summer doing a job.
About the time I was leaving the town was to get cell phone service for the first time in its life. Get this, 1/2 the town signed a petion saying no cell phones in the bar.
Yup - Players Pain, O.P. Rum up straight, BC's finest 'bud" just out the door..
but no cell phone allowed.
Now that place has it's sheet together!!!

The smoking ban has effected rental homes. I'm pretty sure smoking is not allowed in apartment buildings or shared units. People don't seem to know this either. My friend had a problem with her neighbors who were too dumb to go smoke outside, instead they kept ignoring the warnings from the landlord and continued to smoke inside. Now they are being evicted, and will probably go rent another place and get the same trouble when they smoke, how dumb is that?
What I was wondering was, how come hotels still have smoking or non-smoking rooms? Guess that would be a place to get drunk and smoke.

You can smoke in the bars in Watson but not in the restaurants. If you are going there Wally bring your squash racket as they have a great athletic center there. The ski hill might also be open and is a pretty good one for the size of the town. Fuel can be had at Val's next door to North of 60 Petrol. She is very good and callouts are never a problem.wallypilot wrote:In the Yukon it's up to the town to decide whether it's allowed. Whitehorse, no, but dawson city yes. not sure about other YT towns. I'll let ya know about watson lake in a few days.
Be prepared to sit on the ground a lot if you are flying lidar or air mag in the mountains.
