80 gigapixel panoramic photo, London
http://www.360cities.net/london-photo-en.html
" This is an 80-gigapixel panoramic photo, made from 7886 individual images. This panorama was shot from the top of the Centre Point building in central London, in the summer of 2010. We hope that the varied sights and energy of London have been captured here in a way never done before, so that you can experience one of the world's great cities - wherever you may be right now.
To control this image, use the controls on the screen or click and hold your mouse button on the photo, and move your mouse around. To zoom in and out, use your mouse wheel, or the "Shift" and "Control" keys. Be sure to zoom in all the way to see the full detail of the photo! "
They sure built a lot of buildings since I was in London.
(:
Fair warning:
When you click on the 'landmarks ' on the bottom, when it zooms in on Buckingham palace ,the Queen is NOT waving from any of the windows .
======================
In this Obama Inaugural ( smaller Gigapan ) photo , Dick Cheney ( in a wheelchair behind Obama ) kind of looks like that Black-hatted spy in Mad magazines Spy versus spy cartoon. Nice hat though.

There's quite a few Fedoras there, in the elite seats . More so than you would see in the average crowd of not-leading-the-planet people. hmmm

Yeah,me too.
It's like you're in a hot air balloon with a telescope.
Look ,in London in November this poor girl dropped something:

Maybe shes leaving a note-it's after six,

underwear stores probably close at six in England...I think that's how their laws work, when the pubs open, the underwear stores have to close.
That big Ben zoom reminds me about that show I saw about Big Ben,built when England was the center of the Universe-the engineering (reliability ) requirements were thought to be pretty difficult at the time. One second an hour? Can't remember-something like that.

She's locking the door, the lock is in the kick plate at the bottom of the glass door.BibleMonkey wrote:Maybe shes leaving a note-it's after six,

There is a female torso floating in the air. She's in the street near the construction site below of the camera location, but on the east-west street. The street with a bunch of guitar stores. She is just to the right of "Rockers" to be exact.

That makes more sense than my leaving a note idea- But I still like my less likely , but funner leaving a note idea more .albertdesalvo wrote:She's locking the door, the lock is in the kick plate at the bottom of the glass door.BibleMonkey wrote:Maybe shes leaving a note-it's after six,

Of course, nobody needs to leave a note anymore-they can just tweet or facebook each other. Or whatever the heck everyone is doing typing important stuff into their little phones all the time.
Good eye.GoinNowhereFast wrote:There is a female torso floating in the air. She's in the street near the construction site below of the camera location, but on the east-west street. The street with a bunch of guitar stores. She is just to the right of "Rockers" to be exact.

Obviously a Jack the Ripper victim-cut-in-half ghost
-lot's of them in England, I heard:
http://www.moonslipper.com/ghostphotographs.html
The only possible explanation for any of those is 'ghost'. (;

Too bad some smart-ass didn't know they were making that enormous
photo that day-coulda dressed up like waldo,
and stood half in a building shadow ...

An interesting discovery of a street photographer
" Well I suppose nothing is meant to last forever.
We have to make room for other people.
It's a wheel . "
~audio tape found in box of negatives of street photographer Vivian Maier, discovered through her work just days after she died.
Excellent photos

Don't be concerned her torso is firmly attached to her legs where she is standing 5 meters (right in front of rockers) from her floating upper body.GoinNowhereFast wrote:There is a female torso floating in the air. Apparently she discovered how to be in two places at once, but half assed the effort.
She’s built like a Steakhouse, but she handles like a Bistro.
