Problem is that I really don't want to be planted in the ground like some sort of human seed.

Really, I would like to be stuffed by a taxidermist with a broad mind that accepts bribes. I think I would make a marvellous lamp. My descendants could stand me in the corner, a lampshade over my head. The taxidermist could put my hand out flat, and the kids could put their car keys there, when they walked in the door. In the interests of decorum, I will not mention what the taxidermist will use as a place to hang the umbrella.

I think that getting stuffed is an excellent way to remind your offspring why they are here and as a reminder of where they might end up! However, after a generation they would have to take you down because a really successful life would have new object lessons for the living and they would tend to forget that the "stuffed guy supposedly was crazy old Uncle Hedley but we can't remember why he is in the corner, but (Bob) Hedley, we stuffed him with a big grin and put him in the window because with him there even Charlie Sheen wouldn't drive down our road."
