Minimum we like to see folks with aviation college background, 200-1000 flt hours (simply for irony!) and a few years of solid Oak operations. We get a lot of guys coming to us who have purchased time at desks or have ridden the pine elsewhere, but we really prefer guys with serious desk time. We have numerous Seneca grads come to us sporting wood experience but cannot hire them due to their DRM attitudes.
Individuals with extensive time in cubicles or FTDs (flight training desks) are also welcome. I had a guy come to me 2 years ago who was working on his third coronary, which showed great initiative and fits in well with the company culture.
Once accepted at Desksgo, we do require that you purchase your own desk as we cannot trust people to come into our company, log desk time and leave us with the bill.
Hope this helps you in your career pursuits.

PS. Irregardless of previous rumors, no one outside of our cleaning staff has joined the metre high club. This is a professional organization.

Well we can look at you on a case by case basis. Particle board and veneer really doesn't scream professionalism to me. Perhaps if you're running moderate hypertension, morbidly obese, or wear shirts from the 1970s that are far too small for you, we can keep your resume on file. In the meantime what I recommend is that you go out and get yourself some real time, with a real solid desk. Also, you might try flying for a while, and as soon as your career takes a giant, but humorous flop, you'll be ready to purchase a desk check at desksgo.
