Canjet only got the AT work because AT didn't renew with WestJet because WJ started up WJ Vacations (after seeing AT's routes were profitable,(bad move AT).
Canjet tried the same and it all blew up in their face. I'm sure AT learned a bunch too after the WJ error.

About canjet and opening canjet vacations.
Actually , it was on year 3 of the contract that Transat vacation had decided to go ahead and give the 737 flights to air transant.
That was the time when air Transat flight and cabin crew agreed to modify some thing such as location of hotels during layover and so on that made air Transat more economical to run and so on.
At canjet the following two years there were just talks on a possible canjet vacation or possible future business plan.
When the 5 year contract expired then canjet launched canjet vacation .
On year 5 Transat had commissioned canjet for 2 additional years with 1 ac the summer and 2 the winter.
When year 6 came is when canjet vacation was launched.
So they didn't go and throw a tour operator on Transat s face while working with them.
The decision was taken long before.
