Flair 737 Job

Post by CharlieKilo »

Looking for some more info on this job. Can't find a whole lot about them on this site.
Assuming it's hiring for the NewLeaf startup?

Maybe a current Flair pilot can shed some light?

Thanks

I think they have a 2 year training bond for the 737 but can't confirm. That info is a few years old.

It's a 2 year bond. EXREMELY Shit pay with no over time. Hiring for New Leaf. Managment is only getting a pool of pilots at this time incase New Leaf is a go. As mentioned in the ad, bases are YXX, YLW, YEG, YWG, and YHM. 5 GDO's a month, and 5 scheduled days off which they can move around on you without consulting you. Not bashing Flair, just telling the truth.

Don't waste your time if Flair is hiring on the basis of the New Leaf flying.

Without large infusions of cash, it won't last past Thanksgivimg, and that's being exceedingly optimistic.

The nano second suppliers aren't paid, they'll withdraw services. Their spidey senses are already tingling.

BL hasn't survived this long in the industry by allowing customers with hopeless financial covenants to drag out aircraft lease payments or payment for maintenance services.

Neither JR or TM have the resources to incur the hourly cost of operating an NG or the much higher cost 737-400 without having the New Leaf cash in the bank together with at least 14 days deposit in hand at all times. There is NO chance either will allow their business to go down with the New Leaf ship.

When the cash runs out, the contracted airplanes won't push back and that'll be the end of the New Leaf wet dream.

I appreciate your concern. But this fly boy would rather make decisions based on first hand information from an interview instead hearsay posted on an announomous Internet forum. If those are indeed the conditions no one is making you take the job.

2 year bond? Is Flair offering 2 years of guaranteed employment? I doubt it.

Not the greatest of working conditions, most are very unhappy with one foot out the door. Not uncommon to have crews on 10-14 day pairings. Schedule changes are very common and in many cases it is short notice. Some have been told if they don't like it then they can leave. But don't take my work for it, come and see for yourself.

Unless you are desperate look elsewhere. This place is beyond repair. Only getting worse.
At least have a plan to get out by the time your bond is reduced to manageable amount.
This is one of the places that will make you regret you chose aviation career at all.
The longer you stay, the more you will regret it.
I know it is dark, have all the reasons, been here too long.

"5 scheduled days off which they can move around on you without consulting you."

If you can't get extremely hammered before or during - then it may not be described as a "day off."
