Sorta trivial, but I can't seem to find what SOAR actually stands for. I don't think they should leave it to our imaginations...

Air Georgian Limited has signed a pilot recruitment agreement with Ottawa Aviation Services (OAS). The agreement will provide a gateway for pilots who work as flight instructors for OAS to be hired by Air Georgian as CRJ 100/200 first officers.

This program doesn't sound like its the flight school students headed to GGN but its instructors. Nevertheless, I'd bet there are a lot of low timers about to start their instructor ratings at OAS. Nothing like the baited hook of the potential to flow through to a carrier with the potential to flow through to an another carrier...

Of all the 'flow-through' programs in Canada today the only one with any promise of 'flowing-through' to the mainline is at WJE, now that the PML is finished all the AC PMA's all seem set up pilots who don't reach mainline feel betrayed and resentful.

Curious where things are going with the PMA. Isn't it a continuous thing now? Sort of a get you in the door with the carrot dangle, then use you for 3 years at the bottom of the pay scale before you a) wait for the interview, then b) find out if you were successful, then c) get a course date, or d) realize it was all for naught and now start over elsewhere, or reapply a year after the pfo?

Nothing new. 250 hour pilots going onto a jet is the norm in the rest of the world.
