Better just go straight to Esperanto then. Other languages also have words that look exactly the same and meaning is decided by context. Personally, I like English; I've been speaking it since about age 1.

Let say one is talking about a dog’s bone. The ‘s indicates possession/ownership. If one replaces the word dog with “ it” , and one says “ it’s bone” , that is contrary to the rule that “it’s” is a contraction of the word “it” and “is”
Also I purposely used “one” instead of “you” in the explanation above to avoid the confusion that exists in English when referring to people in general. In other languages the pronoun equivalent of “one” is always used to generalize thus eliminating the confusion that exists in English(ie think about the number of times someone has used the word “you” in a sentence and you can’t figure out if they about referring to you in particular or anyone in general)

So if Pivot Airlines does an outstanding job how many of you would let go of their Georgian past? Or would you hold it against them forever?

I think Pivot airlines has done a fantastic job of pivoting this topic to something different.

Wrong. "It's" is incorrect here.

"Its" is a possessive pronoun, along with yours, his, hers, theirs, etc... None of which use an apostrophe. The confusion arises from apostrophes used after a noun, such as "RedAndWhiteBaron's grammar is beyond reproach" - because "it" is a noun but "its" is a pronoun. "The dog's bone" is also correct, as "dog" is a noun. However, "It's bone" is not correct in this context. It would be correct, though, if used to mean "It is [made of] bone".

In general apostrophes are only used with nouns to indicate the possessive, not pronouns, and the only correct use of "it's" is as a contraction for "it is", "it has", or "it was", and even "it was" is rather an edge case.

I do love English though. Sooooo much fun to argue over it. Sorry, my father learned English as a second language and fell in love with it. I had endless suppertime debates about the language with him in his effort to better speak and read/write it. So unfortunately, I now love arguing over English, mostly because I'm alway's right.

So, will pivot be run by the same management team that did such a fabulous job on the Air Canada RJ operation?

It's a very old trick - I've seen it used countless times in the tech startup business. Run your business at a loss, relying on bank or government loans, or naive angel investors, until one of those loans gets called in and the investors all walk. Then, declare bankruptcy, start up a new company, and buy up the assets for pennies on the dollar. Profit!

An airline that failed under the best possible conditions is trying to start over in one of the worst airline downturns in decades. I wish them luck.

Good for them, can't wish them well, considering how the pilots and f/a's were treated, while operating under the GGN name.

Not a mention anywhere on the new website of GGN. Apparently the CEO has 27 years experience, but in what we will never know.

Also, looks like they are a premier charter operation utilizing the ......
