Interesting how quickly they've discovered this....

My educated guess is that they've known about this for years and everyone turned a blind eye to the issue.

Another educated guess is that there were people making money off this corrupt system.

They got caught and now they have to go public.

In this part of the World people don't want to stop corruption - they are all trying to get in on the action!

Ironically their Prime Minister Imran Khan was elected on a anti Corruption platform.

I read that PIA has 14000 staff for a fleet of 30 airplanes.

Nothing unusual there - State Airlines in that region of the World are a dumping ground for brothers/cousins/uncles of influential people. Qualifications don't matter! They get a nice salary and benefits and don't have to do anything.

I've also seen people "sell" themselves to the Politicians. In return for being a 'Yes man" they got high positions within the Airline.

I've seen a family member of the ruling family appointed as Airline Chairman. No formal education qualifications of any kind!

I've seen U$ 1 Billion in losses in 6 years for an Airline with a fleet of 20 aircraft.

The sad thing is these Airlines could be profitable and actually contribute to the country - but a small group would rather use them to transfer public funds into their pockets.

Once again if Pakistan has admitted to widespread fraud in pilot licensing, I would question the veracity of PIA's operating certificate, and all of their associated approvals..

Saw their 777 at YYZ yesterday and was reminded of this, but I figured if you’ve survived long enough to make 777 without making any craters you’re probably at least semi safe.

You could possibly make that argument for the skippers, but what about the rest of the crew? And how long has this been going on for? I'd be very interested to know the legal ramifications on any airlines approvals and certificates from having a fraudulently licensed pilot in the cockpit.

Half of the Covid infections in the UK are linked to PIA flights .
Australia has had 102 Deaths , What did Australia do different ?
Why are infectious flights still landing ?
Who has allowed this disease to spread and Why ?

It is like they want some communities to be weakened .
Eugenics 2020 ?

Update EASA has banned PIA. Once again Canada waiting for others to act before taking a stand.
