Do potential employers look at your SARON/SAMRA results?
Studying for my tests. Do potential employers look at your marks for your SARON/SAMRA?
Re: Do potential employers look at your SARON/SAMRA results?
None have ever asked me. Who knows that airlines will come up with in the next few months though when applicants exceed available spots by a factor of 100 ?pitottubey wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 10:40 am Studying for my tests. Do potential employers look at your marks for your SARON/SAMRA?
As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

AC will require it.

The company I worked for at the time wanted to see my results as proof that I had written and passed the exams. Once I had the ATPL in hand, nobody has asked to see them again.

When you go for your interview, take your page that lists the incorrect answers. Show them to the interviewer. Good luck

So they can mock you because you failed to “decode a METAR” or whatever other vague description they use? I know that’s probably what would have happened behind my back when I handed over the page to my old CP… but it is probably more entertaining to do it in person!northernpilot2 wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 3:20 pm When you go for your interview, take your page that lists the incorrect answers. How would they get them? Call TC and ask for your results? I wrote mine 22 years ago and have no clue what my scores were other than I passed them and have a valid ATPL.
Let’s Go Brandon

I ran into this issue a few years ago. Ended up having to use this site to sign up for Transport Canada GCKey. The secure sign in access code will be sent to you by mail. Took approximately 2-3 weeks to receive the access code. You can also phone TC to get certain exam records. https://clegc-gckey.gc.ca/j/eng/l?ReqID ... C092430A95

I had a regional airline interview, and they specifically asked for the proof - which was in the letters from TC showing my pass marks. So you never know.
Re: Do potential employers look at your SARON/SAMRA results?
Is that because you didn't have an ATPL?
I've never been asked.
Nope. They will want your university or highschool transcript though.

They want this.
Interpret it as you see fit.

Yes way.
And logbook hours certified by every previous employer so be sure to keep up over the years so you aren't scrambling chasing down CPs and Fedexing you logbook around the country the week before your interview.

No, they don't.
Some of the biggest idiots and terrible pilots i've ever flown with are at AC (not all bad, some great ones too) but that just shows how great their hiring system is lol and before you "attack" I've never applied or had a desire to fly for AC (and have all their bullshit requirements)
