Nav Can & Jetsgo rumour

Post by Captain X »

I heard a rumour that Jetsgo is giving “deals” to the controllers in return for fringe benefits to the flight crews. It seems that everyone going into YYZ are getting vectored all over the place as usual, but Jetsgo always gets “Direct to” Its seems to be a I scratch you back you scratch mine situation

Nav Canada is a Private Company so it's not corruption.

Not a bad plan, I'm surprised the Air Canada folks never thought of it..

Brilliant..

*waits for the Air Canada lawsuit*

I do believe that part of the hiring process for controllers includes insuring that they have some sort of obsessive compulsive habit. Chain smoking, coffee or coke drinking, whatever. I do not think my occasional box of donuts is going to make a big difference. :)

maybe I just have rose colored glasses but I cannot see a bunch of professionals stooping to tactics like that. However, if the airline offers lower fares to aviation professionals, that is a deal brokered through their own associations. Maybe they get direct because they have the avionics to do so.

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

Yeah I heard they came out with this new system called NDB, perhaps Jetsgo has this avionic for going direct, and in a few years there's this thing called VOR?? to make going direct better??? Some aviation anaylists also perdict that in 10-15 years time we'll have things called RNAV???? few years after FMS????? and GPS???... using satellites, lol... can you believe that.. wow.. . I can't wait to live in a world like that..... it's gonna make things much easier than flying at FL350 and using your VFR map to navigate... :P sorry oldtimer.. you left yerself open to that...lol
