TORONTO - The Canadian Transportation Agency plans to hold a one-day hearing in Toronto in September based on complaints about Jetsgo, the discount carrier, and its conditions governing luggage liability. In a statement, the federal transport regulator said it received three complaints, all this year, alleging Jetsgo's $250 liability limit for lost or damaged luggage is "unreasonable." Jetsgo is the low-cost Montreal airline run by Michel Leblanc. Its $250 luggage liability limit is the same as WestJet Airlines Ltd., but well below Air Canada's $1,000. Any decision may have ramifications for the other Canadian domestic airlines.

Heard a story of a flight at an airport where flights were delayed because the airport´s baggage conveyor system was broken.
The Captain got on the PA and announced the reason for the delay:
"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking, we will be a bit delayed for our departure. The airport´s machine that punches holes in the side of your suitcases and rips off the handles is broken today, so they are having to do it manually and this is taking a bit more time. Thanks for your patience and understanding."

The underlying theme of all you postings is that no one except Air Canada can do it right.
I was just wondering if you were paid extra for you work as "Propaganda Minister" or if you were just trying to keep your gravy train going?

Hmm sorry to burst your bubble but I didn’t write the articles that I posted, professional reporters wrote them. In most cases their facts are correct, as I know them, in others well as I said I didn’t do the research or the writing.
As far as getting paid, well wouldn’t that be nice maybe you can put in a good word for me.

$250.00 is a joke anyways. With all the profit they make (Westjet is happy to flash it in your face!!) they can afford to pay more for damages they incur on your stuff. Same goes for loosing your luggage.
It’s the only industry that gets away with it. If the liability goes up maybe, just maybe they’ll get it right.

Just a little correction to the article:
