Where I am the pilots get 12 guaranteed days off a month, the senior guys who can bid the high credit pairings ( when they are available) could get up to 16-18 days a month off.

Paid leave is there for bereavement, maternity, sick days, short and long term disability ( STD and LTD is paid to the pilots from the insurance carrier).

Anything specific you are looking for?

Actually, what you gave me is just what I needed...Grounds to compare.

When you say days off...are they following each other or just here and there? Would that make a difference for yourself and your colleagues?

Really appreciated, thanks

Naturally the pilots would like all of their days off to be grouped together in at least 2 days in a row, 3 or 4 is even better.

Again, in our place it depends on your seniority and what you can bid and hold. The senior guys get what they want, the very junior guys get what is left over, which can be some single days off. The ones inbetween generally get their days off that are requested, but it all depends on how you do your bid, whether your primary concern is your days off or the type of pairings you do, where you overnight, start and finish times etc.
