Tegucigalpa has always been a disaster waiting to happen. Unfortunately it always seems to take the loss of lives to get anything done.

I used to fly into there back in the day. Scary spot. I remember flying back down to there on American to go back to work, I was sitting right by the engine and it looked like the plane was going to rip the roof tops off on base to final.

According to wikipedia, it looks like they are going to start using Comayagua in a couple of months for international flights.
