during the ww2 he as a flight lieutnant flew the burma hump and 435/6 sqns supporting the british14army .left at the end of the war only to rejoin the rcaf . in 1951 capt 412 vip sqn 2 tours in ottawa of mp vips gg ad foreign dignitaries. and a 3.5 yr tour in france. retiring in 1971 became a tc civil inspector delvoloped many fo the procedures for bc approaches and assised many local communities get airports and improvement funding by assisting in the grant application process.
he was honoured on many occasions in his career. maybe the most known is to those that fl into yyj in ifr conditions the Dunjy fix in his honour .
