Heavy fog blanketed the Yichun airport at the time of the crash, according to Xinhua.

91 passenger on a EMB190. Must have been close to a full flight.

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know if the captain was Canadian? I know 2 guys flying 190's in china. It's a pretty uncommon type.

I might be wrong but I'm not aware of Henan airlines having expats on the E190. Tianjin airlines does though (they overran too).

Those 77 pictures are quite .... whats the word? Complete? wow. How to describe. Hell for sure.

I'm amazed some lived thru it. The one guy looks extremely burned though.

I am surprised this site is open still. I would have thought China to be more closed with information.

I hope the wreckage is not burnt too much to not learn lessons from the poor souls who died. The only good to come from a crash is preventing further accident.

Ironic, isn't it? You wouldn't get coverage like that for a western crash.
