Never seen that before.

On a hunch though... Looks like a wall piece from a government office or Museum Stand piece.

Interesting non the less.

Neat find. Suggest you get ahold of the Bushplane Museum in the Soo with this, they should be able to help with anything that has OPAS in it. Or call Larry Milberry at CanAv Books. https://canavbooks.wordpress.com/

Well I needed some cash for a two four of pilsners and my leatherman has a phillips screw driver on it and there was no way in hell I was pawning my leatherman so I took that stupid plaque off the wall and got 20 bucks for it and compromised on a 12 pack. True Story

You fool! Such senseless waste! Laker is a buck a bottle. You could have gotten a 12 and a 6!

As per Siddley Hawkers advice I contacted the curator of the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre and this was the response:
Hi Niss,

The Central Base in the plaque refers to the Ontario Provincial Air Service Base that was located in Sault Ste. Marie and now houses the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre on the downtown waterfront. So you have contacted the right people, lol! The plaques were given to many provincial offices and bases located throughout the province as a commemoration of the establishment of the original Air Base. We have about a dozen or more of these and people still bring them in fairly regularly (we do not accept any more). If there is anything else you would like to know feel free to ask. Our website has a large amount of info on the Air Service you could look there for more info.

Many Thanks,
Best Regards.
