What if we could choose feeder airlines?
So, coming from the passenger perspective. Just for fun, what if a website/app came out that lets you see and book any flights you want! So a flight from Vancouver to Saskatoon, you could choose to go to Edmonton Via Air Canada, and Edmonton to Saskatoon via WJ Encore all in a single website!
The pro side is that as a passenger, if I like West Jet but not encore, I can choose Jazz or vice versa! Or maybe I really like Porter so I can choose them to feed me to wherever! Perhaps airlines even start to try to one up each other on service!
When I used to be in Southeast Asia, I used to make my own itineraries like this for fun, but it was a big pain to have to search through each individual website and jot down the departure and arrival times. Jetstar has an amazing online booking system by the way, you can even pre-order hot food and select baggage weight prices (slightly off topic)!

The problem is if you miss your connection because the first flight is delayed you are pooched. The second airline doesn't care what the reason was.

Powers the back end of most airline booking systems. Best of all, Google kept access to it free after it bought it.
