Re: Boeing 737NG endorsement course
They are held at Westjet,Sunwing,Air Transat and Enerjet and when you get hired by one of these companies You will get a 737 NG endorsement. Really quite simple

And that would be a Type Rating you're after, not an "endorsement."
Re: Boeing 737NG endorsement course
No, it's called an endorsement. Type ratings are very much abridged endorsements for pilots.

Quite a number of years ago, one of my fiends took a 747 Type Rating Course in the USA and was flying one in the Mid-East a month later. The effort worked for him and he had several good gigs over the decades, but the concept drives some people wild. I suspect they believe that showing initiative backed by money is "jumping the que" and bad for the industry.

I suspect (I don't know) that avaitionvic is looking at maintenance courses, rather than flight training. And possibly even to send an employee or contractor on. (again, spectulation)

Re: Boeing 737NG endorsement course
avaitionvic, if you are looking for ATOs that run B737NG courses (or any maintenance type training courses) here is a link to the TC website that lists approved training organizations (ATOs)
https://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/civilaviation/ ... nt-531.htm
It is supposed to be a current list but I know for a fact its not up to date.

Re: Boeing 737NG endorsement course
Abridged... sure. I just looked up the technician training course for the plane I fly at work and it's about a week shorter than the course for pilots on the same type.Glasnost wrote:No, it's called an endorsement. Type ratings are very much abridged endorsements for pilots.
Nice try.
If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself
Re: Boeing 737NG endorsement course
What can I say? Pilots are slow learners.
