Re: Perimeter fleet grounded
Was told this morning deferred snags and how they are handled is the issue ... company advised to ground fleet or have it done for them.
Nolinor CV-580 chartered to do Island Lake scheds today.
Gonna be a few days or more to clear up issues.
Very unhappy campers up north.

This is funny.
Due to weather cancellations, we voluntarily decided to inspect our fleet and decided to ground it. If people believe that than they really are gullible.

Re: Permiter
Second large Prairie carrier to have their fleet grounded due to some sort of training oversight in 2016...
TC cracking down a bit?

Re: perimeter
Love how Perimeter and EIC Group is spinning story to make it sound like weather when in fact Transport
had been there last week resulting in the fleet parked on Friday.
No Dash 8's running yet
All in the name of keeping up the EIC share price for investors

If you want to go after false news there it is plain as day. CBC and the other mainstream news agencies are the worst for not fact checking.
Re: Permiter
Ok from the CBC:co-joe wrote:If you want to go after false news there it is plain as day. CBC and the other mainstream news agencies are the worst for not fact checking.
"Perimeter Airlines is apologizing to customers after "weather cancellations" caused a backlog.
In a statement Friday, Perimeter said it "voluntarily decided to conduct thorough investigations on [its] fleet."
On Saturday, the airline serving northern Manitoba posted on its Facebook page that wait times are longer than expected "due to the high amount of calls being made to our Call Center."
Transport Canada said it's inspecting Perimeter Aviation's operations "as part of our regularly scheduled oversight."
The company's Air Operator Certificate is still valid, the transport board said, and is not grounded.
Perimeter says it is partnering with other airlines serving the north to serve communities."
False news?! So the reporter got the facts from Perimeter and got the facts from Transport. Wrote the story.
What kind of fact checking do you want....... send an undercover mole into Perimeter to dig up dirt? Hack into Transports computers to see what "non compliance" items are on the audit.
Classic business communications by Perimeter. Tell people what is going on without telling them the source of the problems.
I'm sure anyone that does know what is going on is not to talk about it in public.
Speculation is training files, maybe interpretation of maintenance practices.
I'm thinking it might be about "How do you de-ice the Dash in Island Lake?" See...."weather delays"

Re: Permiter
CBC quoted Facebook as its source for news! No red flags to you J31?
The whole airline is shut down becaue of weather and we decided to check our fleet and stuff.
In other news Westwind is doing all of our flying and they aren't having any weather related issues whatsoever? Furthermore, Westwind already checked all their airplanes (last year) and after a brief search found them.

Becuase that's the only place where perimeter published anything really.co-joe wrote:CBC quoted Facebook as its source for news! No red flags to you J31
You can't blame a news service to use the same medium that the company uses to communicate as a source for news about said company.
As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship
