If you keep repeating your same "mistake?" by making long winded radio calls, you're going to keep doing it...

............

LOL....

Just to be a pr*ck, maybe we should make the calls even longer and transmit the information twice, once in each official language. =P

Your in the cockpit chatting away, miss the first three words of the transmission. Now I'm sitting there wondering where this guy is and would have to waste air time asking him where he is, when 99% of the time he's no conflict. Problem solved by ending with the area. Ending with a call sign is nice but not necessary, I'll get a hold of you if your in conflict.
What he said. :smt023

We need a new thread...

"Who here gives a damn if someone says "conflicting traffic" at the end of their broadcast?"

Is it really that big of a deal?? Are we that hung up on this kind of stuff??
WHO CARES. At least they're communicating.

Any conflicting opinions please don't reply.

Right on Pugster!! Let's drop this stupid F**King, nit pickin' thread and maybe complain about something worthwhile like wages. I'd be more pissed that I was living on $18,000.00/YR rather than worring if someone is saying "conflicting" in their 126.7 calls.

LET IT GO!!!!!!

Is it really a big deal?---No! Is it necessary?---Not at all!

It's like if you went through the drive through at Tim Horton's and you heard"Welcome to Tim's could we offer you a coffee, doughnut, muffin, soup, sandwich,eclair,tim-bit,coffee cake"..........ect... well if you are a red blooded Canadian you know what they have at Tim's. Same as a position report, we know why ya made the position report. Funny, after reading this it sounds very much like a long winded pos. report!

Thanks for pointing that out Capt Obvious, 80% of threads are repeats. PPC, wages, training bonds, AC hiring practices, etc...

Actually I've seen people and I get mad too sometimes and the star had an article on something similar...

McDonalds

"combo 1, coke, to go"
- "want to super size it?"
"no thanks"
- "did you want a pie with that?"
"fark I said, combo 1, coke, to go"

---

In the star the guy was buying an ipod, and he was "surprised" they didn't try to upgrade him to a better model and 5 seconds later....

"do you want to get the 3 yr warranty"
- "no"
"well it's a good idea"
- "but I'm not gonna break it and it doesn't cover any damage i do on it anyways"
"well sir it really is a good idea to get it"
- "how come"
"well this technology is new it tends to break now and then"
"well I'll come back when the technology is better..."

Classic.. Loved it.. But yeah, no, some people don't want to hear it...

But you're right it is a repeated issue...

Thanks for pointing that out Capt Obvious, 80% of threads are repeats. PPC, wages, training bonds, AC hiring practices, etc...
Exactly and everything that isn't "repeated" you get some genius who points out "shouldn't this go in the Politics/Misc thread"....

What do you want us to talk about in an Aviation Forum???

I have an itch? What remedies should I use????

I don't know, there were a lot of high post folks posting on this one. I say let people talk about whatever they want to talk about, and if you don't like it, why the hell are you reading it??

Or the other solution, is change the topic altogether...

Talk about long winded!
