Best companies in Canada......
Overall, what are the best operators in this frozen waste land? As far as pay, fair treatment, and all that wishy washy stuff go..who do you rate as top drawer? Big carriers exempt of course.

Yeah your contribution is far better than the rest of the posts...bizjet_mania wrote:all these useless responses and still no list.
I have limited experience in other companies, but from what I have heard of so far, I'd have to say the best place I know of is the Rockcliffe Flying Club. The CFI and Operations Manager is a stand up guy who knows how to look after his staff, and runs a smooth operation.
Well just because noone else has put any up, I will.
Now I have only had 3 employers in my short career so far i'll go by what I have heard threw the grape vine.
1. Kenn Borek
2. Sunwest Aviation
3. Bearskin Air
4. ah, thats all I can think of.
but worst would be.
1. georgian
2. aeropro
3. altaflights
again, that just from heresay form others though

Air North? Three years on the ramp, shite pay, and one big ole carrot, of course people are staying...
I hear Sunwest/Home is going to hell in a handbasket - fast.
North Caribou sounds like a pretty decent outfit.
Summit Air? If you don't mind a bit of extortion with your paycheck and a really shotty accident record.
Alta was a great bunch of people, management was terrible, I hear that has improved a bunch though.
Air Tindi, heard lots of good things there.
Kelwona Flight Craft has a few friends of mine, hear mostly good things there.
First Air, more good than bad, but seniority based which sucks...
Anyway, just a few thoughts.

I thought we were talking about the best non mainline carriers to fly for in Canada. So, I gave my opinion.
As far as working the ramp goes, if you get in at the right time you can get flying quick, if you don't you can have a long wait. It's a small company with low turn over. Most guys that come to work the ramp can do the math, nobodies making them stay. Most choose to stay anyways.
