Very interesting!

Wonder if Pasco pilots will get full westjet flight benefits.

This is not good for anyone except Pasco and WJ management.

Union busting 101

Pasco is stating that the flow through will permit their pilots to skip Encore and go straight to WJ

Well. The formula usually goes Regional - Mainline. Not Regional - Regional - Mainline.

I wonder if the Link pilots will say the work at “Westjet” the same way Encore pilots do.

Before this rumour gets out of control, WestJet has already been in touch with PCA to correct and reissue their internal communication which incorrectly stated to their pilots the ability to be hired directly into WestJet.

Pasco has some good WAWCON, Not sure what the dislike on this agreement is. You want to make six figures and be home almost every night you can. If anything it encourages Encore to raise their pay.

Sounds more like Westjet scrambling after something leaked that wasn't supposed to in order to keep their pilots from being furious. You really think PASCO just made this up out of thin air?

from another posting...

First Officer = $36,000 - $41,000
705 Captain = $66,000 - $98,000
Training Captains = $95,000 - $110,000

The above is based on an 85 credit average per month and does not include per diems.

Wonder if this is the beginning for WJ to set up a stable of CPA's like AC does ? And would this encourage AC to take on more CPA's....wouldn't Porter be ripe for such an agreement by either majors ?

I don't see how anybody would be interested in Porter. AC had another Q operator in Sky Regional but still consolidated the Q's into Jazz. As for WJ, well that ship has sailed for Deluce. Maybe if he didn't ask for a Trillion dollars he might have gotten a deal. Now WJ has Encore and is set up to have that operation feed pilots and guests to the mainline quite nicely.

What I do predict is more little CPA's similar to Pasco coming up. Hopefully Quebec and the Maritimes. Need more service there. I say bring em on. Tap those markets currently unserved by WJ to feed the mainline machine. Good news for Westjetters.
