Air Canada
Just wondering .
With Air Canada moving 767-300 to Air Canada Rouge over the last few years, how does it work for the pilots and first officers. Are pilots/first officers allowed to move back and forth between the two and is the pay the same, seniority, etc.
Thanks,Bob

Hey Bob,
Take a quick peak in the Air Canada sub forum or do a quick search and I can guarantee you'll find the answer you look for.
If you don't, drop a fresh thread in there with the same question and those guys will help you pretty quickly.

Re: Air Canada
1st - it's Captains and First Officers - they're all pilots
- Position & equipment is bid on based on seniority
- one seniority list AC/LCC
- Hourly pay is less at the LCC, unless forced there
- You can move between same equipment/same seat on equipment bids, but you are restricted to moving back for 2 years
- schedule at LCC is socialised - seniority doesn't play at the LCC, but vacation gets seniority bid starting next year

Re: Air Canada
Is pay protected if forced to Rouge for all pilots and RP's or is it just Captains that carry their pay rate to Rouge?
Re: Air Canada
For all pilots not just captains. Rouge is popular for the junior crowd given the productive flying and socialized schedules. And lucrative at times with the 2.5x draft pay.
Re: Air Canada
There are no RPs at the LCC and LCC FO seats pay higher than non-grandfathered RP. So no rates to carry over.
So only pilots that are forced from a higher mainline position.
Re: Air Canada
I don't think First Officers get pay protection going from mainline to Rouge.
