Air Transat...?
Why is the airline acquiring A320's...?? Is this in preparation for the A321's..?

They've has 320's before but they got rid of them and farmed out the narrow body flying to Westjet. Something I'm guessing the regret doing because it showed WJ what the loads/market was for vacation flying and WJ vacations started shortly after that.

Likely both companies. They were definitely doing Transat flying out west.

Honestly why an Airbus company ever got Boeings in the first place is more of a weird one than the question of why are they going to an all Airbus fleet. To me this is a smart decision, but what do I know?

I believe they are getting all new 320 neos and by doing so they will have pilots able to fly both the 320s and 330s.
