I actually went down there for the first time on one of several enjoyable California trips I did in the past. On arrival(or on departure day) at LAX I would go up to the Theme Building and watch the airliners taking off and landing. Pan Am 747's and high pitched TWA L-1011's on final among all the rest of the classics of that generation. I have even flown an aircraft type that was manufactured at this airfield(T-6).
But the history of LAX goes way further back than the airport happening to have me there:). It has been around for 90 years and there is a historical museum on sight as can be seen here in this interesting article.......

I thought this was a thread to discuss helpful laxatives for those who eat their meals at night and live in hotels.. I'll be leaving now.
