Advice re N Quebec

I have an opportunity to make a flight in my Cirrus from S Ontario to Northern Quebec including to Kuujjuarapik (CYGW) and Kuujjuaq (CYVP), and would appreciate any advice or comment from those familiar with the area or airports. Some specific concerns are the availability of Avgas, condition of some of the gravel runways, language issues (I don't parlez), usual procedures and communications when operating in uncontrolled airspace, and any other tips you may have.
