Westwind 1124 ACP and Line Indoc Pilot
In the process of acquiring a WestWind 1124 in Southern Ontario. Would anyone be in the know of someone who has ACP authority on type and be able to do a ride? The current list of individuals on the the Transport Canada website seems to be out of date. Also looking for leads on a current Westwind pilot who would be interested in doing some line indoc for a couple weeks. Thanks in advance!

Top Aces has a couple of them. Maybe they can help.

This for the one skycare bought?
As above, best bet and only one I know of is Top Aces.

Speaking of Top Aces. Anyone knows the story of why their Westwind has been sitting in Dawson Creek for a couple of weeks dripping fuel from the centre tank all over the place?
Geez did I say that....? Or just think it....?

What does skycare want with a jet?

Well the obvious answer is to fly it and make money with it. Getting into the jet world adds a new dimension to their operation.

The westwind is notorious for leaking fuel while it sits. It’s not a lot by any means but if left unchecked than it will certainly look worse than it is.iflyforpie wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2019 5:55 pm Speaking of Top Aces. It's quite a divergence from their current business model, prop planes serving reserves. To buy a jet that uses more runway than at any of their bases seems a bit odd.cdnpilot77 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 5:16 amWell the obvious answer is to fly it and make money with it. I don’t remember KFC’s Westwind leaking an appreciable amount of fuel.
It’s just that YDQ seems a weird place to park an airplane like that. Except that there’s an AME college there and the 1124 seems to be nearing the end of its useful life.

This isn’t their first foray into Jets. They used to operate a Citation 500 into gravel strips in Northern MB with a drag chute.

That's perfect, the Metro leaks like a sieve too.flyinhigh wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 6:18 amThe westwind is notorious for leaking fuel while it sits. I guess I should write something here.

Last time I checked YKF has a runway long enough for a Westwind.
