Blacklisted IP

Post by digits_ »

Anyone else having issues posting with a dynamic IP?

If you have bad luck and your ip was ever used by a spammer you are unable to post.

Maybe a better approach would be to whitelist accounts with more than xx posts that have existed for over x months?

if its dynamic IP, you can get another one, maybe reset the modem coming from your ISP and get new IP, or you can just call your ISP and get another IP assigned. I am afraid, if your IP range has been blacklisted then it will little harder.
Thanks

I assume this is while traveling? I have a VPN I use with about 100 different servers I can chose in various countries.

Sometimes while travelling, now even at home. Blacklisting dynamic ips is a bit silly. Theoretically, one spammer in your ip pool will corrupt the whole pool.
