No, the non-binary people feel they are neither male nor female. That's what this is catering to I think.
Re: Air Canada staff will no longer greet 'ladies and gentlemen' onboard planes
They are entitled to feel that way, but do they have a vagina or penis?
Re: Air Canada staff will no longer greet 'ladies and gentlemen' onboard planes
Don't do a google image search unless you want to be very traumatized.

There's nothing quite like a bunch of people who have no idea what it's like to feel excluded passing judgement on those who would dare to express such feelings.

Pat... It's time for androgyny... it's Pat!

Wrong. The Schere campaign is the one flying with AC, not Trudeau.FICU wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2019 1:08 pmAir Canada is a supporter of the Liberal Party...schnitzel2k3 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 11:47 am I think we're all rather confused, fortunately not as confused as Air Canada managment regarding this change though.

Mind you, with some of the comments on this thread, it seems there are scant few in the cockpit either.

Careful........this term is NOT gender neutral!

It's not about who's flying with who it's about AC donating to the Liberal party.Capt. Underpants wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2019 6:05 pmWrong. Do some research.

AC has given plenty to all parties in the past. From candidate donations to party donations. It even a sizeable chunk to Ontario Conservatives in 2015.
Even WestJet gave the Liberals 20,000 bucks back in the day.

Did you come to that conclusion by matching colours? Like you did in kindergarten?FICU wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2019 1:08 pmAir Canada is a supporter of the Liberal Party...schnitzel2k3 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 11:47 am I think we're all rather confused, fortunately not as confused as Air Canada managment regarding this change though.

Does that mean Westjet is Conservative?
Does Flair support the Green Party?
What party does Swoop support?

I spell it in my own language. Kind of like how we spell and say a whole pile of things in our own language rather than the original language. Is that the best you can come up with?altiplano wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 1:17 pmYou're the one spelling "colored" wrong... and bringing up ridiculous comparisons.Zaibatsu wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 12:15 pmThat’s great. Do you want a cookie. Not once did I mention the Democratic Party.
But if you think the Democratic Party has always been left wing and the Republican Party right wing, here’s some history lessons.

As for ridiculous comparisons, let’s take a look at the definition of Conservative vs liberal and see which side of his to ry each was on?
Liberal: open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values.
Standing against every advance in society, from democracy, separation of church and state, free speech, the end of slavery, universal suffrage, women’s rights, the end of Jim Crow laws, gay rights, and so on were a bunch of conservatives on the wrong side of history who wanted to keep traditional values.Conservative: holding to traditional attitudes and values and cautious about change or innovation, typically in relation to politics or religion.
Re: Air Canada staff will no longer greet 'ladies and gentlemen' onboard planes
Yeah I didn't put much energy into that, but still, if you're describing the sign, may as well be accurate.
Seriously though? The Holocaust? Slavery? Jim Crow segregation laws? Gay bashing? Airplane announcements? Is that really a valid parallel to draw here?
The problem you have is you're quick to infer that anyone who doesn't immediately align with your vision of a society aligned to an identity based, politically correct viewpoint, is immediately a racist, bigoted Nazi.
Your hyperbole disrespects the events you list.

Great to see Air Canada leading with this, a small gesture that can mean a lot to those who don't identify male/female.
