Cheyenne 2

Post by Vitek »

Good time of day to all!

Can anyone shed some light on whether a type rating is needed or not on a Cheyenne 2?

I think that this TC document:

https://tc.canada.ca/en/corporate-servi ... ppendixa-1

May take you where you need to go.

When I flew the Cheyenne II I don't recall it being a type rated airplane, though it might now be considered high performance, for which there is a rating, though it does not seem to be on the referenced list. Not my area of expertise, but now you know at least as much as I do about it!

Important to look at the Insurance requirements as well as the Licencing requirements imho.

Plus 1 ^. I believe it's just be the PPC and "X" amount of time on the A/C for insurance to sit left seat.
