Advice from the veterans?

Post by Blueskies »

Just looking for some guidance from those who have been around.

I am a newbie with just under 1000 hrs and I have about 150+ float hours as well as 150+ multi hrs. I also had an accident a while ago and can't seem to be able to get back into the game. I was on a great run, busy as hell and doing lots of flying. The accident was a training flight where I was giving someone training towards a float rating.

Now I can't even seem to get a instructing gig and TSB hasn't issued a report yet. Everytime I talk to an employer, it's one of the first things I bring up. There's no sense in hiding it....it's going to come up sooner or later anyway.

I've got a hefty student debt and really don't want to quit......but it seems like there are no more doors left to knock on.

Any words of wisdom?
