Once again, the CARs are giving me a headache.
I don't quite see the difference between a getting a type rating done and a PPC. (i.e. priveledges of each, when you need a PPC vs. a type...)
I know you need to have a valid PPC to do a type rating, but that's about it.
Does it have more to do with a/c weight or crew requirements??
Also, is the "second officer rating" the same thing as doing the IATRA written? Have any of you not done the IATRA, and just waited to do the ATPL writtens?
