Depressing you say?
Actually I wouldn't say depressing, I'd say for those a tad on the older side... grow some and get up and try it or else you spend the rest of your days "I wonder what if'ing" yourself into insanity.
Myself, 35 yrs old and I just started my first white collar aviation gig. I did start late (CPL @27) though and had to fly some real buckets to get here but it was all worth it.

Please, no more witty sayings, smug advice, or bitter posts from low timers. Pay your dues. Be patient...

Well that's jsut fantastic, thanks for sharing that little bit of info about your preference.Hedley wrote:Looking at the list, there is an amazing number of near-career FO's here, at least so far.
I must admire you guys - if I'm not PIC, I really don't want to bother going. Sole person on board is even better.
Do you like to wear women's underwear?

"your first flying job, what/how old"
Another important question is Your SECOND flying job, what/how old.
As in how long did you stay working for #$@ wages or with clapped out equipment before you got your second job (and was it better).
That is the real test of a pilot some would say. How long to put up with crap becasue you are desperate for time.
