Cargojet Income Fund (the “Fund”) (TSX: CJT.UN), Canada’s leading domestic premium overnight air cargo network, today announced that it has signed agreements with existing customers for additional capacity and revenues.

As a result of increased customer demand, Cargojet will operate additional routes, utilizing B727-200F Advanced Freighter Aircraft, between Canadian cities and major U.S. cities. It is anticipated these new routes will contribute approximately $20M in additional annual revenues.

“We are very pleased to be in a position to react to our customers demand for additional cost-effective and value added air cargo services”, says Ajay K. Virmani, President and CEO of the Fund. “ These new services are reflective of Cargojet’s on-going commitment to be the country’s dominant air cargo service provider and to offer growth opportunities for our customers, our employees and our unitholders”, added Virmani.

Cargojet is Canada’s leading provider of time sensitive overnight air cargo service. Cargojet operates its network from coast to coast transporting over 550,000 pounds time sensitive air cargo to thirteen major cities in Canada each business night.

Yea - but they are all dedicated to their customers are they not? Flightcraft are all Purolator, Morningstar are all Fedex, and at least 1 Cargojet plane is UPS (maybe both?)

So - I was just wondering who and what this new machine was. It just sounds like their will be more to come.

Cargo at YVR?! What about Cargo at YEG?!

ERAA has hugh plans for a cargo terminal south of runway 30/12 with highway and rail links.

CP Rail will also have a multi-modal cargo terminal just to the NE of the airport.

CN Rail is shipping half a million containers a year now from Prince Rupert.

YEG is on a great circle route to Asia from the central USA.

The port Alberta project has for the most part already started...The new cargo ramp is now half done and a few new logistics companies have started to set up shop at YEG.GSS,Atlas and Jade cargo are expected to be the major entrants into the market. When this kicks in it will change the cargo market in Alberta and western Canada for the most part.

Just to clarify, it is YYC that sucks. I mean if you are talking about sucking beer from the Stanley Cup, then yeah, YEG does it 5 times better. But if you are talking about going down to the docks to suck, that is where YYC rules. :finga: Let the games begin!
