Sched run, Calgary to Cold Lake
Hey folks,
The City of Cold Lake (with pressure and backing from Imperial Oil) is looking for an airline to start a sched run to Calgary.
If anyone is interested, or knows someone who is, PM me.

Yeah, I'm not sure if the plan is to fly to the regional, or if there is an eventual intention to build a terminal on the base.
Are there any small airlines out of Calgary?

Um if there was a market or rather Viable (profitable) Market, dont you think that the free markey economy would be there already serving it?
Or are you going to try the NAC Air method of starting sched service to a town just because the comminity asked you for it, even though there is no way to make money serving it.

Easy there quick-shot. How do you think the 'markey' economy finds out about opportunity? People talk to people.
I don't work for the city, I'm just doing what someone asked me to do. If there really is no market, then the service won't even start. As it is, the Oil companies have shown some interest. Either way, that's far outside my purpose, I'm merely trying to put people in touch with the right people.

I think Peace Air had pretty good loads into YOD. I would be embarassed to fly a sched out of the regional. Can't see that working.
I think the air force is just really anal about using the base for civil aircraft. That is what needs to happen if they want a sched service back in there again though.
