It escaped from it's pen at the local TC office.

I have got to admit that having read a lot of Mr. Ridley's Cador postings, he definetly tries to see the lighter side when possible.
However he does seem to have a liking for picking on wildlife like wiley coyotes etc.
hmmm

This was always my favorite CADORS report:
CADORS Number: 2002Q0757
Narrative: A flying object was observed south of the airport. The object appeared to be a wind-borne garden umbrella kept aloft by an updraft. The object was travelling southwards at about 1000 ft, and the St-Hubert police were advised.

Here is one I saw a while ago about Canadian North's F-100s. Like you said a great sense of humour!

Narrative: MPE 466, a Fokker F100, departed Norman Wells for Inuvik and on takeoff, fuel was seen trailing from both wings. Canadian North operations staff were advised. Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the aircraft was removed from service again after this latest event. Aero Aviation in Calgary looked into the Fokker suggested Service Bulletin and found the right hand vent outboard float valve hanging up on the fuel panel ribs. This would tend to explain the reason for the fuel getting into the vent system on the take off roll, thereby causing the secondary vents (the sniffle valves) to open. This problem has only been happening on full fuel loads. Reducing the fuel level to 8,000 lbs per wing tends to avoid spillage. If the snag comes back, company maintenance suggest the next 2 steps: a) Fokker has been requested to have an engineer on standby to come to Canada and investigate this anomaly (the engineer is on standby.) b) The Canadian military is conducting exercises with helicopter gun ships outside the company's hangar. If this snag is not fixed the aircraft will be taken out of the hangar and shot to freaking pieces (the gun operator is on standby.)

Let the fun begin.....
A private Piper Navajo was on approach to Runway 11 at Whitecourt when the pilot elected to overshoot on short final due to numerous deer near the threshold. The pilot also indicated that there were also elk on the east end of the runway. The aircraft landed without incident on Runway 29.

Narrative: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that a combination of 40-50 knot surface winds and frost coming out of the ground caused a large spruce tree 60 feet in length to topple and fall onto a portion of the airport's boundary/wildlife fencing. The gap in the fence allowed 6 elk and 9 deer to move airside. Once the APM was notified he and his staff removed the tree repaired the fence and had FSS issue a NOTAM regarding the wildlife hazards at the airport. April 19th is round up day at Whitecourt. Twenty or more people with 4x4s and ATV will attempt to coral the animals on the north side of the airport and move them off of the property via a gate in the fencing. A NOTAM for that event has already been issued. The fun is to start at 8.00 am. This event caused the pilot one aircraft to overshoot and return for an uneventful landing

After reading that YZU one today I thought that Mr Ridley must have a sense of humor. It's funnier than any american sitcom.

Narrative: Iqaluit FSS was advised by First Air that there were 2 disabled company aircraft near the refueling station (a B727-200 and an ATR 42) which prevented the refuelling of ACA 851, an A330 which diverted to CYFB due to a medical emergency.

O.P.I.: System Safety
Narrative: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the circumstances surrounding this occurrence are somewhat factual, however variations abound. The one constant is that it all happened at the Iqaluit airport. Air Canada 851 an Airbus A330 which departed London's Heathrow earlier that morning on a regular scheduled flight to Calgary, diverted to Iqaluit because of an on board medical issue with one of it's 291 passengers. ACA 851 arrived at Iqaluit without further incident, the crew parked their aircraft on Taxiway Alfa at Apron 1, shut down the engines and waited for the stricken passenger to be removed. While this was happening, two First Air aircraft which were parked and awaiting fuel at the refueling cabinets on Apron 3 went u/s. A HS 748 developed a hydraulic fluid leak and was unable to move, at the same time the crew of a Boeing 727 reported that they had fuel cross feed problems and would require maintenance. The drama continued. Just about this time the crew of ACA 851 reported that their on board APU quit and they had no means of re-starting their engines.. Two Jet Air start units were pressed into service and were able to get the # one engine started. The crew were then able to start the second Rolls Royce 700 Trent A-60 engine. The APM reported that the adventures started at 1522 EDT and ended at 1921 EDT when ACA 851 departed for Montreal because of the company's repair facility there and because of crew duty day requirements. The First Air aircraft were eventually removed from the refueling area and towed to their hangar.

Narrative: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the dog whose type (pedigree) was not identified was eventually cornered and then escorted off of the field via an access gate on the west side of the airport. The dog did not stay in one location for long so when airport staff arrived at the last reported position it had moved on with it's tour. This merry chase continued for about twenty minutes before the dog was located and moved to the ground side of the airport. How the animal got onto the property and from where it came is not known.

Narrative: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that about a week prior to the occurrence on a glorious spring day the APM removed and stored all airport snow plows, sweepers and assorted accessories. Early Sunday morning on the 6th of April the APM was awakened by the FSS duty officer who advised him that a near blizzard was in progress and that runway and taxiways would need clearing since three flights were scheduled into Whitecourt later on that morning. The APM had to resurrect the snow removal equipment and then begin snow clearing Whitecourt saw about 8 inches of snow. The operator plow/sweeper 156 (the APM) forgot to call clear of all maneuvering areas. This event had no operational impact.
