i hope everything is okay!
Re: navajo with engine failure
I heard him today. Must have worked out Okay, or we would have heard more going on. Anybody can get to Gimli on one engine.....Air Canada don't no stinking engines to get to Gimli!
Re: navajo with engine failure
Everything was OK. I think this was the companys second engine failure in a couple of years, heard there beaver blew a jug near Arborg last summer. Pilot handled it well a made the water. All this training is keeping those pilots sharp. Safe flying.

This what piloting is all about. Knowing what to do in a emergency, it's only a matter of time that equipment will break down. Cheers to the lads who make it back safe!

I think you should check your sources there beaverman. I know a guy who worked for them and had four engines stop in just one summer recentlyEverything was OK. I would certainly admire the courage of a Navajo pilot who works there. Nice work with bringing her to the ground safely!
Flying airplanes is easy, you just need to PAY ATTENTION. Finding a good job on the other hand takes experience, practice, and some serious talent.

Thanks Widow for posting the CADORS.
Turns out I am an idiot and was thinking of a different company, my appologies.

Re: navajo with engine failure
Sounds like a good job, a navajo engine out with 8 pax would be near the limit.
Glad it's a non-event, we need more cadors/incidents to end like this.

Re: navajo with engine failure
huh thats strange you mean to say it didn't flip over? It maintained altitude?
I thought according to all the Experts here on AvCanada Navajo's were supposed to do those things on 1 engine!
