Hawkair Dash 8's

Post by Coastal Cowboy »

Anyone see that the Hawkair Dash 8's are up for sale? Any news on that front? Is Bar XH offloading it entirely or are they just selling the older Dash's that Hawkair has?

Sounds like a fishing expedition. Mind you, I did hear one of the 100s is up in yxt getting ready to get shipped back to the lessor. I think they (bar xh) are circling the wagons. Then again, they are in hostile injun country :D .

Someone should point out to them that it is a UNS-1 in there. Very nice addition.

Bein a bettin person I'd wager the owners plan to sell the assets and run the op till the wheels fall off, lucky if the thing is still going by fall.

Those are -102s so they should be the PW120A

I believe -106s have PW121

CMA doesnt buy anything, they are too cheap for that, just ask the poor saps that work there for dick. Besides, the owners are saving up for retirement day sometime real soon - why would they buy -8s  .

I was thinking that maybe they were selling off the older Aircraft to position to buy something newer and more versatile than 102's.

I hope that they'e not rolling it up as I like the new paint jobs and would like to see them continue to operate.

CMA has not directly purchased Hawkair, however the parent company who owns CMA and NTA purchased them.
