I'm actually looking forward to her arrival! It will be nice to get some Alison time in along with the Merlin time. I hear the Alisons are less... how shall I say it... tempermental. I've been working on the Corsair lately.. something that I don't have to be on a 10 foot ladder (I'm 5'4") would be nice!

The gleam off the Corsair before Mecka spilled oil all over it off her ten foot ladder!

Don't worry I've been forwarding them on to O'Malley. Great contact down in New Zealand Colin Hunter has kindly let us use his pictures.
She now has her C of A and is being broken down for shipment to Gatineau. Keep your wrenches handy Meecka it could be there sooner than you expect!

It would be impressive if they flew it to Canada from NZ.

A friend of mine flew a Douglas Skyraider (A-1 Spad) from Europe
to Alabama via the North Atlantic, Gander, etc.

Another friend flew an AN-2 from Poland across the North Atlantic
to Canada. At 85 knots.

Several times, I've flown from Canada to Central America in our
Pitts, which is arguably the worst cross-country airplane ever invented.

I've been there.

It is the cleanest hanger with the cleanest planes you will ever see. Yes, even cleaner than museums.

If you're in the Ottawa area this place is a MUST SEE. Just make sure you contact them in advance as they don't allow pop-ins for tours.

I second that, never seen such a beautiful hangar! Wish I was in the area so I could at least volunteer there, though I'm equally satisfied volunteering at CWH. I'm just holding out hope that some day once I'm licensed they'll need another AME...

Can't wait to see what they send to Hamilton for Father's Day weekend!

Snapped these today when the Kittyhawk showed up. I finally beat boxcar posting new pics! The shots are not spectacular, took them once I was done unwrapping the bird, and I didn't have much time today for picture taking.
