The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Why don't you phone Transport Canada and ask?
They're really kind and helpful.

Re: New pilot license document.
Since the new license won't fit in my old holder can I still use my holder as a wallet to help pick up chicks at the bar?

Yes. According to the CARS, non-licenced personnel are stupid and can't tell the difference. Ditzy broads in the club fall under this category.niss wrote:Since the new license won't fit in my old holder can I still use my holder as a wallet to help pick up chicks at the bar?

Re: New pilot license document.
The last time I looked at my old lic. it did not have an expire date. Check the CARs/CASS as I don't think there is anything. The link above is not a reg and from what I hear TC is behind several months (3 - 4 ) in printing new ones.
I went and got a new one anyway as some of the third world countries had nicer looking lic than our old ones.

Re: New pilot license document.
It took about a month for my booklet to come in. I was expecting it to be a long wait too.

Sent my application in August too, received it a few weeks ago.
Re: New pilot license document.
Winnipeg is doing a good job right now. Took mine about 3 weeks from drop off to opening the envelope. I sent mine in with my application for Class 1 IFR to avoid them having to print a blue paper license and a new aviation document. I still got bothjpilot77 wrote:Sent mine in in aug. still waiting!
