Depends on what you have and where you want to go.

Can you upgrade from F/O to Captain on the 12.5 at the company?

Otherwise

PIC,PIC,PIC

yes upgrades are 1yr at the moment

i always thought multi-engine time was the best

seems single engine is the greatest time a pilot can log these days

Get it in writing for the upgrade. Do you have your A's or at least meet the requirements? Does the company have minimum PIC time for upgrades? Otherwise you answered the question already.

Then again, I always go for the pay at then end of the day.

Good luck,

great advice.

don't go to your CP/Ops mgr/owners office and ask for this first you'll get laughed at. you don't even want to know what comes after. PIC is king for the airlines, once you have enough of that then worry about ticking the little boxes afterward.

Depends on your current experience level.

If you have enough PIC time to get ATP and/or are low on multi time, go multi.

If not, go PC12.

I think this one comes down to a comparison of the type of operation you are going to work for and what YOU want to do. I turned down a right seat on a Tier 3, multi-turbine cojo for left seat PC12. Within two years I was fortunate enough to go from left seat PC12 to Left seat med size corporate jet with no multi time. None of us have a crystal ball. So, I think its important for you to do what is important for you and your family. The rest will come...

Goodluck

heavy time for sure over the PC12

a right seat PC12 driver cant go anywhere else, a right seat B1900/Metro...etc can get into porter/jazz...etc

a PC12 Captain cant get into westjet or air canada direct, but a B1900/Metro captain can

the heavy t-prop time is better

You only live once. Do what will make you happy!
What the upgrade time is now means S-F-A tomorrow.
If you have lots of PIC now, then the 12,5 multi time would be a good experience regardless of the upgrade.
No matter what you decide on, the grass will always be greener someplace else!
Good Luck

He actually said left seat on the PC12 not right, so that makes a big difference in this discussion. Also, while it's not as likely now with the current downturn, I've known a few people who went straight from a PC12 to airline, corporate etc.
