Don't forget that minimums are exactly that, minimums. To be competitive I would imagine you would need to be in the 3000 hour range... we are coming off of a long stagnate period and there are lots of guys with impressive resumes.

'flyguy's' right...

Pre-9/11 I knew guys who got-on at Jazz (Regional) with just over 2,000TT and their ATPL's.

That was then, and this is now.

If the industry keeps seeing slow improvement, then one day we may see Jazz hiring these 'low-timers' again. But it will take at least two to three years for AC/Jazz to bring back all their pilots on furlough and hire-up all the high-timers that have been stuck on small turbo-props for the last 4 years.

I hate this damn industry, its not enough that I have 2500 hours and an ATPL...now they want FOUR of them? Cripes...That's it, I'm starting another "I quit, boo-hoo" thread.

Hey Corn "

You of all people here should know that means being able to take 4 fingers during your rectal exam.

Is it true that you start kissing your Dr. during that part of the exam?

Only Old Timers get the rectal exam. I for one plan on quitting before that time comes for me. :D
