Re: G8/G20 VIP air travel
oh man... I cant believe they put a bag over the YQA spy (I mean) WXcam. They were practicing motorcade runs on the ramp there Monday, so perhaps a few VIPs landing there after all. A bit of action up at Downsview as well, but think that is just staging. Should be seeing US marine heli's doing dry runs over TO tomorrow. I'm just back from a walking the dog (King & Spadina) Cant spit without hitting a cop down here (no, I didn't try)

Why don't you try it yourself?niss wrote:
We do a lot of work in the Huntsville area and I was told by a co-worker that the US military has taken over the area of Port Cunnington and witnessed Apache or Cobra gunships flying overhead. Are these just private security for the American entourage or are these part of the intercept plans? And if intercepted by Foreign forces in Canada are we legally required to comply?
Hint: The defence of the North American Continent is a combined effort between the Canada and the US. They can patrol our skies just as much as we can patrol their skies, when required and agreed.

I have education and knowledge based on the security of this G20 summit. The world leaders are having a nice picnic together.... thus heavy security. Getting all high up on ones horse does not change anything
Once again I have obtained the knowledge (like all others) in the surrounding area by official release with regards to the situation. It is nothing more than what it is!
Stating that someone is ignorant out of place just makes you ignorant.
Finally, on the contrary, calling people "retard" etc. does not help ones case. I thought I would take advantage of the universal supreme commander's comments above and really work his ego/stupidity.
Happy flying
Roger that...then you're just an ass.

Well, I give in. The ultra top secret security measures worked flawlessly and now I'm being incarcerated in Gitmo!
Thought y'all might like some visuals.

Winds_in_whatever the F&^K,
Your reticence (NOT), of all your posts thus far prove just how ignorant you truly are.
This thread was started with no political agenda attached to it. Aviators were curious to know about the airplanes involved in this spectacle. Thats ALL...
Just as a few others have stated, the movements of the operation should'nt be on a public forum. Whats your problem with that????

C-FABH those are some great shots, the GI isn't pleased. Did you see any Ilyushin
Re: G8/G20 VIP air travel
Did get a nice shot of IL76 RA-76638, which has been parked at the "North Lounge" since Monday. There's also been an IL-96 and even an IL-62 earlier today. The other cargo haulers returned back to Mother Russia for more equipment and personnel, I suspect.

Re: G8/G20 VIP air travel
You obtuse wannabe adult! I posted a list of aircraft one is “most likely" to see over the course of the G20 summit. Yes, "AVIATORS" find this information interesting. You decided to "take charge" and patrol like a weekend rent-a-cop telling us what should and should not be allowed in a public forum. May i remind you we live in a democracy? My original intent is evident, take a look at my post. You responded by calling me a "retard" which in all fairness, makes you look like a hypocrite.IFRATC wrote:Winds_in_whatever the F&^K,

On that note, you can leave me to decide what I should and should not do. You are not our totalitarian commander in these forums. So to answer your question with a question, we all want to know more about the aviation related activities with regards to this world stage event.... "What's your problem with that"?

So, you are saying that I shouldn't post all the pics, and vids that I have taken of the comings, and goings at YQA?IFRATC wrote:Winds_in_whatever the F&^K,

Why should we not post public info? There certainly is no law against it.
Anyone want to see the military base, and all the rcmp choppers/planes, and miliary choppers/planes?
How about some of the VIP's travelling in limo's being escorted by dozens of cop bikes, and cars, and of coarse dozens of undercover cadillac escalades?
Why would anyone have a probem with these being posted?
We're all here, because we're not all there.
Re: G8/G20 VIP air travel
For those in Huntsville... 2x Blackhawks and 2x Sea Knights departed YYZ about 30 min ago headed your way.

Re: G8/G20 VIP air travel
They just gave YQA a fly by, I snapped a couple of pics, then they separated into two groups and one group went straight north, the other north east.
Oops, I hope I was allowed to say that

I say post the pictures! This is still a free country and if they have a problem with you taking them in the first place I'm pretty sure they'll let you know.

And your authority comes from where.............
Re: G8/G20 VIP air travel
Well, I found this on the Nav Canada website:
http://www.navcanada.ca/ContentDefiniti ... upp_EN.pdf
An AIP Supplement that shows you the affected airspace. I might be flying to the south of it to St. Catherines/Niagara on Saturday.

Well, seeing as the guys in the 412 were waving at me, and the guy in the f18 gave me the nod, and a cool afterburner show, I don't think that they mind their pics taken

EVERYONE POST YOUR PICS ...VIDS...ETC. Many of us find this very cool We have only spent 1 Billion on security thus far... so for someone to tell me I cannot try to enjoy it (aviation is after all my hobby), well , simply just go shove it.
This is a world stage event, and believe it or not, the media is causing more troubles for security than a few little aviation hugging nerds .
KEEP POSTING!
