Seaplane down at Powell Lake

I heard the end of a clip in the radio this morning.

I didn’t catch what happened or if the occupants were ok.

Anyone else hear what happened? and that status of the occupants?

Sounds like a private 185 with 3 SOB, all of whom got out OK.

Great to hear that everybody got out unharmed.

Fortunate for the plane that this occurred in fresh water. Other than the avionics, most of the aircraft should dry out fine.

I read that a fresh water rebuild is not to hard compared to salt water. So it could have been worse maybe.
And no one died.
Insurance company will not be happy though.

Aircraft has edo 2790's on it.I had heard that water was in one of the front compartments & as he tried to take off it filled up enough to cause the front of the float to fill & submerge & it then flipped over.
