Wow, things must be really bad if they can't even afford their gliders due to high oil prices. I would have thought soaring would be one of the last things to go in this economy.

Airlines do not need to abide by provincial consumer protection laws as they are under federal jurisdiction. They need to abide by the Canada Transportation Act which provides consumer protection.
