HELP
Over the past eighteen months, I have developed an idea and have established proof of concept, to significantly improve the view out the windshield while flying in moderate to heavy precipitation. I am searching for a company that has expertise in fluid dynamics and access to a wind tunnel, to form a partnership and further develop this product for market. I have established proprietary rights and have pictorial evidence to validate my claims. Any suggestions??

Re: HELP
Thank you BBB for the tip. However, the only program offered to me at the time from NRC required a significant amount of money up front. I am fully employed in the aviation business and thus perpetually short of cash. I think the improvement in aviation safety could be significant and I am hoping there may be other programs out there that can assist with development.

Re: HELP
There's a couple wind tunnels at UBC. Talk to some of the professors there to see if you can get some time. Dr. Carl Ollivier-Gooch is an ex-NASA researcher who's pretty cool, alternatively Dr. Pete Ostafichuk is also an aviation buff. If they can't help you they may be able to point you in the right direction.
Re: HELP
Just a thought from an old guy who has been there, but run up the old visa or whatever you have to do and get yourself some legal protection for your formulation before you talk to anybody. I know it is hard to believe, but there are one or two people out there who will tell you it just needs a bit more tweaking and then surprise....they have it protected and you are left scratching your hear.
If it is really an improvement, you might also consider some accounting/legal advise to put together a proper proposal and seek partners
(non-Nigerian). This will allow you to do a proper evaluation of the product, and access good marketing and distribution networks.
There was an engineer in Edmonton that developed the Phillips XC formulation. He might be a good contact person .

Re: HELP
I know there are two icing capable wind tunnels at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC) which might be able to help out.

Re: HELP
Thanks for the tips everyone. I will be following up on the leads. The idea involves vortex generators and is protected by a patent application (for what it is worth) covering Canada and the U.S. I am aware of a number of companies with the expertise in the U.S. but was hoping to find a Canadian company or agency willing and able to participate in the further development of this product. I was flying through one of our B. C. coastal fronts today at 500 feet up an inlet in heavy rain and thankful to have the vortex generators installed. As well as it works now, I know further testing and development would improve the product further.
